I saw his "Arthurian" movie....:o

Or if the Michael Mann shows up that did Collateral. That other Michael Mann need not apply.

Tony Scott! Nice choice.

But I would choose Ridley Scott. Big Grin

Was The Replacement Killers equally boring? That was an urban movie that took place in New York, just as a Repairman Jack movie would be.

The Arthur movie was entirely different.

The problem with the Arthurian movie (Arthur movie reminds me of Dudley Moore Big Grin ), is that he removed all the mysticism. He made it 'real', and that is just draining away the fun right there.

If he tried to do the same to Jack, then it won't be Jack (although you may like it Auskar).

If we're talking Asian directors, then my vote is with Park Chan-Wook. His vengeance films are genius storytelling and visually stunning.

If Tony Stark directs I will not be seeing it. I haven't enjoyed a movie of his since "The Last Boyscout". I don't know who does his editing, probably has a hand in it himself, but his movies are a live-action version of an epilectic fit. "Man on Fire", that movie with Keira Knightley and "Deja Vu" were completely unwatchable.

They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.

I haven't seen The Replacement Killers. I dislike Chow Yun-Fat.

Here are a few suggested names...
 • Richard Donner (Lethal Weapon, 16 Blocks)
 • Brian Helgeland (Payback)
 • F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job)
 • Steve Norrington (Blade)
 • John McTiernan (in his big comeback from the Die Hard series)
 • Len Wiseman (based off of Die Hard 4.0)
 • Peter Yates (old schmold - his work on Bullitt is stellar)
 • Breck Eisner (Sahara)
 • *cough*Spielberg*cough*

 • Jonathan Mostow (Breakdown)
I don't think John Woo would be very good for it. Too many sloooooooooooow mooooooooooooooo shots. It gets old, fast.

And Uwe Boll? Stay the (expletive) away from this.
