Bluesman Mike Lindner Wrote:I suspect THOR will be weak (How you gonna write non-hokey dialog for the guy? "Behold, Wapitikev! I have returned to the fray, and my wrath is like a raging fire! Yield, lest I batter thee near unto death!" Groans and laughter.) CAP =might= be good, if the film shows Steve Roger's inner turmoil. His guilt over Bucky's death.
Cap has more unclaimed baggage than the titanic: Bucky, his girlfriend is old enough to be his grandmother, the numerous men who took up his mantle and then died, Nick fury turned black, living representative of a country that has changed markedly in its very nature since 1945 (Vietnam, Kennedy and MLK assassinations, Watergate, the war on drugs, the Gulf War, the war on terror, etc). I'm sure theres a number of issues I've left out.
Sure he's a great natural leader, but emotionally he always stuck me as a complete mess. Kinda like Tony Stark on that subject, actually.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):
Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis
On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout
