I sat way too close to the screen in the theater for MOULIN ROUGE. I saw Nicole's lipstick bleeding through her lipliner and could see way beyond her tonsils. Ugh. I did not like that movie. It's not the worst, but it ain't good.

Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

I agree. Thought Moulin Rouge was good.

On a side note, my brother and sister swear Moulin Rouge was crap yet claim Rent is a masterpiece. I, on the other hand, think Rent is the worst musical EVER. EVER!!!

Scott's getting a lot of love on this thread. Have to concur, Moulin Rouge is my favourite film of the last ten years.

No time right now to think about my worst five, but one movie that MUST be on my list is Terms of Endearment. Near the end I was telling my wife at the time: "I wish Debra Winger would just die so we can leave." Even Jack Nicholson couldn't save it!

Other really bad ones: Top Gun. Woulda been OK without the girl. Girls always wreck war movies.

Firebirds. Nicolas Cage couldn't save that one. Premise and girl both ruined it.

Moulin Rouge. What crap.

Dogville. Ditto.

Gee. Guess I did come up with 5! I could come up with more if I tried. And I didn't have to resort to The Keep.

Dave

I loved Moulin Rouge. Entertaining and visually stunning.

And I also loved Top Gun and Terms of Endearment, Biggles!

I can't think of a worst 5 right now. I've seen some really bad movies that suck so bad, they're funny. I wouldn't include those on the list since they did entertain me in some sick, twisted way. For example: Showgirls (if you look at it as a comedy, it is heeeeeee-larious!)

Here's a helpful linky - IMDB's Bottom 100 movies. I've never seen the Tony Blair Witch Project, but it sounds like fun! LOL

I disagree with Biggles that Dogville was crap. Long, yes, but not crap.

My top 6 worst films of recent memory in no particular order:

- Operation Condor
- Steamboy
- Rent
- X-men 3
- Pirates of the Carri bean 2
- 300

HIGHLANDER 2 is the worst movie of all time. This is not my opinion. It is fact.

I would agree with you Lisa...up until I saw Highlander 3 and
Highlander 4. That series was a freight train downhill to the
bottom of dung valley, each worse than the last...shudder.

Haha. Yes, those are both terrible as well, but I give the second one the booby prize because it actually ruined the first film by extension.

Rollerball (the newer one) is pretty gosh darn awful as well.
