You knew that was coming with Topher Grace playing Eddie Brock.

Auskar Wrote:As stated above, Harry Osborn was the Green Goblin and he dies. So later in the comics when the Green Goblin comes BACK, Peter is surprised. Of course, most of us know who the "new" Green Goblin" is because there have been clues and clues left in the first two movies.

LATER in the comics, the Hobgoblin surfaces. Totally new and different, but familiar.

I heard something about that Gwen Stacy might appear in this movie? Now that would be interesting because she should have been the one dropped from the bridge in the first movie, with a drastically different result.

The first Hobgoblin was a millionaire who had underworld connections. He tried to emulate Osborn and did a pretty good job.

The second Hobgoblin was an old CIA hitman who went rogue and independent. He eventually made a deal with a devil/demon and was turned into a real Hobgoblin.

There were like three other incarnations of the Hobgoblin, but that was after my interest waned....

As many of you are probably aware (and it was aluded to in a post before mine), Gwen Stacey had a rather tragic end in the Spiderman comic. She was Peter Parker's first girlfriend, before MJ even made the comic.

Dave
Before Gwen Stacey came on the scene in the comics, Peter's girlfriend was Betty Brant, J. Jonah Jameson's secretary or receptionist. (I forget her exact job, it's been a long time since I read the comics. And I only found out about this the other day).

At last, today I saw Spider-Man 3!!! Big Grin

Oh, what a GREAT action movie! How great was that?
I can say it was "Spider-Man" + "Spider-Man 2" = "Spider-Man 3". That meaning is "perfect"! Everything was set up for the third film in the "Spider-Man" series to be the best. Cool

The story and details are.....Don't worry, I don't say any spoilers in here. But without spoiler, I can't say how much I enjoyed it! While I was watching the movie, I forgot everything about outside of a theatre. EVERYTHING! Truly time passed quickly. Someday I'll go to a theatre see it once more again.

Lastly, DON'T MISS IT! If you missed it, you'll live to regret it. And, you should see this on big screen. Especially, last 20 minutes were.....Oops, sorry! I don't say anymore. :p

P.S. You'll find two cameos, at street and in French restaurant. Big Grin

Just got back from it. Disappointing to say the least. I may have been swayed a bit by the idiots in the audience (clapping for no reason, people getting into "shushing" matches, 6 month old baby crying, 14 year old girl text messaging on her cell for 1/2 the movie, etc.) but the film was too long, too many villains and more campy than previously. This film felt dumbed down quite a bit compared to the previous two.

All I can hope is that this is the end. No more Spider-man movies. It will probably only get worse.

Thanks for the review, Marc. Now I know I can wait to see this, probably for a long time.

I recommend pleasant.

Good action flick.

Marc et al.: They are making 4, 5, and 6 for sure, but they are not sure yet that all the actors will come back after this one.
