Auskar Wrote:I didn't watch it because I just can't conceive of watching a movie that has no ending. As far as I know, The Zodiac's identity was never discovered. Most theories have been discounted because the evidence doesn't add up under scrutiny. That's why "Jack the Ripper" stories are JUST as uninteresting.
At least to me.
Go see this movie. It will answer all your questions. And, yes, it does have an ending re the Zodiac's identity.
But what the movie deals with is how many people's lives were destroyed or nearly destroyed trying to find that identity.
This is not a "slasher" movie (though there are some Zodiac killings). It is a drama, a detective story, a news-reporting story.
The film is broken into two parts: The Zodiac's capturing the nation's attention and then disappearing; and two, the political cartoonist's picking up the pieces of the investigation to write his book.
I plan to buy the book when I get the opportunity.
Must-read book. Must-see movie.
