Locke WANTED to see what would happen when he pressed those numbers. You could tell that the screen responses were not live. Maybe he WANTS to have Dharma come back to the island. Hoping for a rescue maybe?
And I agree, next weeks episode looks very interesting. So many new things and places to explore on that island!

I can no longer tell what Locke wants, though, truthfully, he's always been a little out there so who ever knew what he wanted. But now he's so Hatch-impaired that I don't know what's going on inside that big bald head. His eyes positively gleam with .... something, almost looks like lunacy.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

Or possibly he also has that gift of premonition as does Desmond. The blast of the magnetic field might have boosted what ever special instincts that Locke had before. Locke seemed to always solve the problem at hand. The hatch almost seemed to "block" his style and intelligence.

Could be, but I suspect the writers wouldn't come up with the same special gift for the hatch survivors. Each will have something different, I think.

I don't think we'll ever really know what Locke is cooking up. I was mystifed by his letting down his guard with the Eye Patch Guy. He actually stood their looking down at Eye Patch Guy trussed up on the floor and looking over to the computer in the next room. For a few seconds it was like watching Locke at a tennis match, head bobbing one way then another. That computer was calling his name, no doubt. He couldn't resist it.

Anybody have any ideas on what has happened to Michael and his son?

It's been a long time since this show started. I think the kid that plays Walt is probably too old for the part now. They wouldn't be able to explain his aging. The guy that plays Michael has moved on to other projects and I doubt we'll see him again.

I would have tried to answer, too, but I'M LOST!

I doubt we'll see either of them again (especially the kid) for the reasons Chris stated.

Too bad reality has to impinge on the show. The kid was already looking different when Michael got him back.

It was said that Michael and Walt were given a boat and set free. I highly doubt it. When we get to see the Other's island home, Walt and Michael will most likely be prisoners there.
