Maggers Wrote:I'm just not getting enough of our favorite characters. I know the last episode was devoted to Hurly, and we all love Hurly. But didn't the flashbacks used to be shorter, with more happening in real time?

At any rate, I want to see more of Locke, Sayed, Jin and Sun, and all the other regulars from season 1.

I'd like to see the action move FORWARD. It feels as if we're going nowhere fast.

Exactly. Viewers UNITE!

Locke has been relegated to a less-than-supporting actor. Hope they're not paying him based only on screen time. And I also had the impression that the flashbacks have been getting longer. All they did this week was push a van down a hill and drink a few really old beers.

And I just HAVE to say it. Even if it IS a magic fantasy island and the magical mystery van would start and had both oil and gasoline and no rusted-stiff parts while a human body wasted away, HOW did air stay in the tires?

And, I can't help myself. Kate was willing to toss Jack aside for Sawyer not that many episodes ago and now she is ready to toss Sawyer over the side and I know she has a bad past, but at least have some consistency of character for at least ONE story arc.

I actually forgot to watch last night. Oops. Doesn't sound like the episode is worth DLing, though.

I actually liked this episode, though I think it would have been better received two or three weeks ago (too much time was spent with Jack and Kate and Ben's operation and so on). If they are not going to forward the story much then give us a fun episode, an episode that features some of the other fine characters they have created. Last night's episode held my interest, made me laugh a couple of times, and provided an overdue change of pace. A good episode but poorly timed perhaps.

A few notes:

1) Perhaps now we can stop imagining Cheech Marin as Julio.

2) The episode lasted less than five minutes, from Kate preparing the rescue to the recruitment of the French Woman. The rest of the episode was "filler" a la Hurley's fun time with the van and how he got fat explanation.

3) I've never seen Sayid or Locke's characters look so LOST. In the background they're all thumbs. I hope they and the plotline are moved to the forefront soon.

4) It's a sad thing when we can miss an episode of LOST and not have missed a thing. Let's bring back the spirit of the 1st season or I'm switching to MEDIUM.

AC

P.S. I'm sure I've got ABC trembling in their spats.

That is hilarious!

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

Never deflating tires created by Dharma for special beer toting missions.

Sheesh! Whatever happened to suspension of disbelief? Smile

I probably had that one coming. Where's Craig Ferguson when you need him?

Me too. It was nice to see the old gang back together. Nothing really happened to advance the story as usual. Wasn't this episode billed by ABC as a cant miss or you wont know what's going on at the water cooler kind of episode?

What do these guys get paid? How can they justify paying these guys when they're never onscreeen?

I hate it when somebody replies that quickly. Makes me think that they're just sitting there.

Waiting.

For me.

It creeps me out. :p

When Hurley & Co got the van running and were driving aimlessly around, I was on the edge of my seat waiting for them to drive over the brow of a hill only to discover the Losties hidden village. Bit disappointed when that didn't happen!
Liked this episode. Felt like season one again when we would have the occasional not-much-happening-but-fun-all-the-same episode dropped into the running order.
