Could be, but I suspect the writers wouldn't come up with the same special gift for the hatch survivors. Each will have something different, I think.
I don't think we'll ever really know what Locke is cooking up. I was mystifed by his letting down his guard with the Eye Patch Guy. He actually stood their looking down at Eye Patch Guy trussed up on the floor and looking over to the computer in the next room. For a few seconds it was like watching Locke at a tennis match, head bobbing one way then another. That computer was calling his name, no doubt. He couldn't resist it.
