What limited/first editions are the collectors here most looking to find? I'm interested in knowing what's out there.

Are we talking F. Paul Wilson or all authors? I'd love any Arkham editions, but in the FPW area, I'd love to get a first edition of the Keep Prequel. Oops! Wrong board. Seriously, a first edition, signed, of The Keep in German, and Nightworld in German as well (for starters). I've only just started collecting FPW and my other favorite authors in languages other than English. I'd also like some Chinese versions, if they're available. But beware: There's a fine line between completist and pack rat.

The Keep Prequel?!?! That's a great idea. Why hasn't anyone mentioned that before? Wink

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

We should speak in code of this much desired book. Otherwise Michael Mann might try to take credit for it and make the movie before the book. So, FPW should get crackin' on it real soon like.

First, the missing Cemetery Dance books: Midnight Mass and Sims 4 & 5.
Then, german first edition of The Keep, japanese first edition of Black Wind and UK eds of Sibs and The Select (Sister Night and The Foundation)
Lastly, any of the odd stories out there including the comics in Eerie and Creepy, and the semi-fiction "Lamont Cranston is not the Shadow" (this because I've been listening to mp3's of the old Shadow Radio show)

If I can afford it, I will replace my unnumbered first eds of the Dark Harvest books with the signed/numbered eds.

Steve mate - hope you're well !!!! I've NOT forgotten your xerox's, gonna get to them over this weekend - IF, I can find a frikkin' xerox machine round here that works - I would scan em', but I'm having one or two problems AGAIN with my scanner and PSP8.

Myself, well, I'd love to get hold of a copy of the 'Lamont Cranston......' piece as well as the SWFA item with 'On Dydeetown Girl' AND, the Stringbean and the Stalkers CD liner notes OR in 'Shore View'.......AND the Jill Baumann appreciation in the I-CON IX program book - been after those babies for a LOOOOOOONG time.

As for Fiction #4 - Jeez, I'd love to have a copy of that, but have all but given up on it now......

All the best, kevin

fpw posted in the old newsgroup how a senior exec at H&S was so taken with 'The Touch' that he had a few special editions made which were given as presents to other head honchos in the company (plus fpw himself of course). IIRC, fpw said it's one of the best looking books he's seen and estimates less than 20 copies exist so, very, very RARE!!! I doubt it'll ever show on the open market and if it did, the price would be HUGE!
