Wasn’t the R man referred to in “All The Rage” , Oz got a call from someone who told him a unique creature washed up on Governor’s Island. And another reference to that Otherness kind-a-guy in Hosts; I think someone else may have referred to it before; not sure.

Sal Roma. Known better as Salvador Roma in "Conspiracies" But in "Hosts" he was Ms. Arola. We never saw him, but he left his moniker at the lab.

If I remember correctly, Oz received a mysterious phone call telling him that the "unique creature" was swimming around in the harbor . . . not washed up on an island.

I didn't post my thoughts well in the previous post. Sal Roma was the guy that called Oz to tell him where to find the creature. He was also the one that called Luc to tell him to check out the creatures blood, that he might find it interesting. Oz let Luc take a sample because he was desperate to identify the creature.

Scar Lips condition wasn't mentioned that I recall, but it was definitely not washed up on an island, according to the book.

It was mentioned that the Rakoshi were very good swimmers. And how Scar Lip was actually captured is anyone's guess. Maybe it was scooped up in an iron cage.
