OK enough Brit Kicking for now OK

As for Mr Tennant I was horrified when he took over Dr Who in the UK, however he turned out to be fantastic - you are in for a treat when it reches US if you like Dr Who

However having watched the whole series & watched him in Casanova he is not my vision of repairman jack - i just can't see him hanging a guy over a bridge so a truck takes him out!!!

Now Kieffer Sutherland (sorry if spelling is wrong) he could credibily play the phsyco sides of Jack when required

Should a brit play Jack - proably not, sadly Hollywood doesn't always have the same scrupples when it comes to british character - thank heaven we have never had to endure an american James Bond.

As for what is british - sadly I fear you all think it is Hugh Grant - more colse to reality is a guy with a big beer belly, bright red on a beach cos he is not used to the sun, but refuses to use girly sun cream.

The artist formally known as Britfan

I always see Jim Caviezel in my head when I read RJ. He has the everyday guy kind of look and can do the death stare well. He is handsome, but not knockout. He may have already been mentioned (I didn't get through all of the posts). Here's his IMDB page http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001029/ his most popular role is Jesus from The Passion of The Christ. What do you all think?

You know, Jim Caviezel actually looks like I picture Jack. I loved him in Frequency.

I could see Caviezel in the role. Frequency is great. I also loved his character in Pay It Forward.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Welcome acfrogg! I'd also like Jim Caviezel as Jack. He'd be great! That is, if the movie gets made before he's too old for the part! Wink
