We have thrown around so many wonderful and imaginative ideas. How DO YOU choose? Well, which-ever one of us wins, I hope the character helps Jack in his stuggles thru the teen years.

I couldn't resist....just a few more! :p

Well, lets see if this works. Maggers is right, there has been duplication, so I thought I'd gather up all the suggestions into an easy-to-scan format. I think I got them all, but please let me know if I missed one of yours.

Here they are, numbered according to when posted but in alphabetical order for easier reading. Also showing who posted each.

I feel bad for Mr. Wilson. Having to decide from all of these, I'd go insane.

Adding to the insanity:

Something About Jack
New Jack City
Jack's Trade
Jack Way Back
Scruples
Roughshod
Jack's Run

Webby, I'm pretty sure you missed a couple of mine, but I can't remember which ones so you're getting off with a warning this time. :p Impressive work.

I recommend pleasant.

Sorry Scott! If you find 'em in the posts, I'll add them to the list. BTW - I accidentally duplicated one of yours myself - didn't realize you'd posted "Jacked Up" before me. That's one of my favorites so far!

I'll update and post the current list some time tomorrow.

Glad the effort is appreciated, but it wasn't much, really. I've had to make sense out of much more disorganized data before. This one was easy -just some copy/paste into a spreadsheet and sort. Easy Peasy. Wink

fpw Wrote:[SIZE="3"]Here's another sort of name game. You all came up with great title suggestions for what eventually became Harbingers. See if you can help me here.

I need a title for the YA Repairman Jack series. It can't include "Repairman" because at 14 he wasn't in the fix-it business. (Yes, he'll get involved in fixing a situation in each book, but he won't see it as part of who he is.)

Because the big arc of the series will be self-discovery -- Jack learning about himself (and the reader learning about Jack) -- as he experiences the events of the novels, "You Don't Know Jack" and "Nobody Knows Jack" have been floated. There might be trademark issues with the first. They're okay and might work, but if one of you can come up with something that smacks us* between the eyes, we'll use it.

Not only that, I'll name a character after the winner.

Remember: this is a name for the series. Each novel will have a separate title.

This board is peopled by a plethora of creative minds. I trust you'll come up with something great.

*(It won't be my decision alone. The title of the series is deemed so important that the editor, the YA division director, and the marketing people will have their say as well.)
