Anyway, Jimbow8, the ones that have mentioned already pretty much covers what I have read except for a great collection they edited called "Book of the Dead" which contains stories that take place in Romero's zombie world. Some kick ass stories in there, especially if you like zombies, but who doesn't like zombies.
Also, getting an unknown would be preferred by me also, but I doubt they will do that.

Well, I don't now how he looks know a days but I think Micheal T. Weiss, from The Prender, would be a great Jack. He has that intense look and doesn't look tortured aspect from when he eliminated the bad guy(s) at the end of the show, it was more like, reap what you sow. Its just that he seems so perfect for it, at least back when that program was on.
I have been trying to cast Jack in my mind since the moment I heard the movie was going to be made. It is nearly impossible, since obviously all of our opinions differ so much.
Someone mentioned Peter Krause, and I think he would be a fabulous choice. I think he could actually pull it off very well. However, is he getting a little long in the tooth? I thought they would probably go with someone younger. If they decide to go on with the character, they would want to cast younger. Peter Krause is (gasp) almost 40.
I also thought of someone like Gerard Butler (Reign of Fire, Timeline). He would obviously have to lose the Scottish accent. Oh, and he would have to slim down a bit. However, I think he would be a nice choice. He's more towards 35 years old. Granted, he's kind of hot, but he isn't so hot that he couldn't blend in.
I'm still working on my choices, though.

I'm sorry, but none of these people are Jack...Kevin Bacon? Keanu Reeves? If this is going to be a good movie, they better have someone who can act...
