A generation is generally considered to stretch across 20 years. However, the baby boom years, those resulting directly from the return of soldiers following the end of WWII and the Korean War, do not stretch across 20 years or 18 years (1946-1964). How can you consider someone a baby boomer who stares blankly when Howdy Doody is mentioned?

I did mention Generation X and the Slackers. Would you lump them in with the baby boomers when obviously their culture does not include protesting the Vietnam War, The Summer of Love, and The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test?

If you Google long enough, you can find support for nearly any specious argument, but that does not make it right. I'll stand by the strict definition of the baby boom years, not a baby boom generation.

I don't "spew" and my viewpoint is not "nonsense." "Baby Boomer Generation" is a misnomer and a contradiction in terms. You cannot turn a span of 10 or fewer years into a 20-year generation with a misapplied label. To be a Baby Boomer, you have to have been born within a certain range of years and into a particular culture. Those are the membership qualifications. NO ONE who was not at least a teenager in the 60s is a Baby Boomer. Bottom line! Deal with it!

Dude... the baby boomer generation came from young men and women getting it on after World War II. World War II ended in 1945. You were born in 1953 (conceived 1952). It is a fair bet that not every man and woman married and had children immediately after 1945. We're talking 7 years. Not 10. Not 20. A generation is generally considered 20 years.

I know it pains you to accept the fact, but your parents were going at it like monkeys in heat within that ACCEPTED 20 years considered the Baby Boomers Generation. Therefore, you are a baby boomer. Accept it.

I think that these people who feel compelled to come to a thread devoted to a movie they haven't seen and post attacks on people they don't know (and clearly don't understand) have serious psychological and spiritual problems. Are they insecure about their own heterosexuality? Are they just stupid and poorly socialized? Do they live in a cave somewhere where they don't know any real live gay people and can therefore really believe so much of the nonsense that they are peddling? Or were they just raised in households where they were taught that it is okay to hate people who are different!!!! the world must be a small place for u. Maybe they are also racists. I don't know.
