My wife and I have gotten in the habit of watching "The Long Kiss Goodnight" every Christmas. Eight years and running now. I think it was just released on DVD or something the first year we were married and we watched it and have done it every year since. Besides, it's a great movie. It's worth it alone for Brian Cox's dialogue about the dog licking its butt.

Of course Christmas Story is the ultimate Xmas flick, plus I usually watch Scrooged every year as well. I must also admit that I'm looking forward to watching Elf(a guilty pleasure) again after being forced to watch it the first time. And then I get into the classics like Rudolph, Santa Claus is Coming To Town, Grinch(animated), Year Without A Santa Claus, Frosty The Snow Man, and Little Drummer Boy.

Love, love, love Christmas movies and cartoons.

1. Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol (haven't seen this in years and I WANT to!)
2. White Christmas
3. Rudolph
4. A Christmas Story - I'm a late comer to that; I saw it for the first time just a couple of years ago when my nephews made me sit down and watch it with them. Smart kids!
5. 1951 version of "The Christmas Carol" starring Alistair Sims
6. Die Hard

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

How many vikings does it take to change a light bulb?

None. The light from the burning monastery is more than sufficient.

"The Ref" with Denis Leary is the best Christmas movie ever. I highly recommend it! Big Grin
