It's a great short story. Find a copy of "Soft and Others." You won't be disappointed by any of the gems in it.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

Deals somewhat with abortion. The title has at least a couple of meanings; the halloween angle is perhaps the tamer one.

I like blue Kool-Aid...I don't know what flavor it is, I just have this thing for blue food....

How many vikings does it take to change a light bulb?

None. The light from the burning monastery is more than sufficient.

As you can tell, I haven't read it. That's what I gathered from the Amazon blurb. Now I have to read it

"The Long Way Home"

When you click on the link in the article, it takes you to a list of your books on Amazon (interestingly enough, the short isn't on the list). I recognized all but "Buckets."

How weird is that; I just had a conversation with my co-worker yesterday about blue food. He won't eat it because it doesn't appear naturally in any foods.

I'm an orange Kool-Aid guy.
