The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

I'd suggest:
OPEN RANGE
ANGELS WITH DIRTY FACES
WHITE HEAT
WHEN WE WERE KINGS
GIMME SHELTER
ENDLESS SUMMER
CHINATOWN
EASY RIDER
MALTESE FALCON
There are many more. A couple of those might not be "guy films" per se, but I think guys would understand and appreciate them more than most women would. If I'm wrong about that, it wouldn't be the first time I've screwed-up with women. Rolleyes

I saw that a couple weeks ago on tv. I was surprised how good it was. I don't usually watch the Disney/Pixar type animated fims. I will sometimes watch one if it gets a lot of good recs. I really loved Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc. A Bug's Life was right up there with those for me.

....and Bug's Life is the least good of the Pixar movies, IMO.

If I had a nickel for every time I mimicked the old man at the motel desk, I'd have a shitload of nickels.

LOL! yeah, That old man is funny. I love when Clooney sets him straight. Something like...'what do you think I want you mean old bastard., I want a F'n room'

Good stuff.
