sll Wrote:Welcome Hap... I saw this earlier today before I went to the board and started the bidding. Should I be so lucky, I would be honored to be "Keep"er of the collection until that day they can be returned to you. (Knowing what I paid for "THA" I may be hard to keep them all together.
My prayers to you and your wife.

I was lucky enough to catch a new/sealed Gauntlet signed limited THA, in perfect condition, on Ebay for $74.95. It was a "buy it now" and I was so excited I could hardly contain myself! I guess the seller underestimated it's value. My collection was missing THA and Crisscross. I was expecting to have to drop at least $200 for THA (but I never could find one). When it came in the mail, I spent the next few hours staring at it. I guess I got it bad!

Just had to brag a little. Now I just need Crisscross to complete that portion of my collection.

I see three copies for sale at http://www.abebooks.com, from $99.99 to $110.

Thanks. I know there are some $90 and up in various places. Matt at Shocklines told me I should be able to get one as cheap as $60 to $65, if I shop around for a while, so I'm being a little cheap. I'll probably end up getting one at a higher price just because I'm getting sick of waiting.

This bookseller sometimes has good deals:

I am in a like position in that I need the limited of Conspiracies only.

Keep looking. You never know when you'll strike the right opportunity. On the other hand, I have been trying for several years to locate magazines containing uncollected Michael Shea stories. I am down to four stories, four different magazines, and no luck in ages. In one instance, I may be forced to shell out $35 for one story, which I also hear is not one of his best. Ah, the curse of being a collector...

Conspiracies shows up on ebay pretty often. There is one on now, but they say it has a couple of small dings. I got mine from Overlook Connection about a month ago, but he said it was his last one.
Actually Conspiracies may be my favorite RJ book (after The Tomb...I mean... Rakoshi, of course).
