I am a long time fan and a regular peruser of the board but not a regular poster. It saddens me to let everyone know that I have put my signed limited of the Haunted Air on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...8313476022

My wife and I have unsuccessfully tried to have kids the past year and are going to see a specialist and we are finding ways to raise some extra money. One of my ways unfortunately, is to sell off several of my limited edition R. Jack books. The only good news will be the thrill of buying them again later in life. I only hope the faithful readers of this site will be able to obtain them from me. I will be out of town this week so I won't be reading any posts. I will answer any questions when I come home Saturday.(I am helping out at our church camp this week.)

Welcome to the board. Post more often.

Good luck to you and your wife.

Jim

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

If I didn't already have the books you're auctioning, I would gladly bid, because I like the idea of keeping these books in our "family". Anyway, I wish you well in every respect.

Welcome Hap... I saw this earlier today before I went to the board and started the bidding. Should I be so lucky, I would be honored to be "Keep"er of the collection until that day they can be returned to you. (Knowing what I paid for "THA" I may be hard to keep them all together.
My prayers to you and your wife.

I just posted my bid which I firmly expect will be trumped, with 6 days and counting to go before it closes. But I'd love to get such a wonderful edition. My collection is quite humble.

I wish you and your wife the best and hope all goes well for your family.

Welcome to the board!

Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

Welcome to the board and good luck. Don't give up though. My husband and I tried for over a year. We knew I would have trouble since I had a history of endometreosis. Finally we just said 'forget it' and stopped worrying about. Naturally I got pregnant immediately.

I just got back in town and wanted to say thanks for all the support. I have found this site to be the best in finding new authors to read about(and of course fpw news). I will be fine with having just a HB copy of these books. Hopefully I will run into fpw again and I can get them signed. I have every book either in paperback or in HB and many are signed. (I met fpw at a play in St. Augustine, great moment in history for me) Hopefully I can hold on to most of my books.

...the $45 bid as of now (7:40 p.m. CDT Sunday 06/26/05). Two people on this board (I'm one) paid over $200 for this book in recent months. Come on everyone! It's going for 22% of market value right now! Now's your chance!
