Nah. Last time it involved a single visit from the local police, a quick explanation that only I live there, "But could you officers tell me how to handle a problem? See, there's this guy who keeps calling me on the phone, claiming he'll call INS and tell them I'm an illegel alien if I don't buy aluminum siding from him. No idea what he's talking about, nope. Here's my ID, see. Natural born citizen and all that. Yep..."

Evil can be fun. Especially if you point it in the right direction.

After that, Anya said to Oyv, "Good boy, come to Momma"

That line made me laugh. Yeah, Oyv is really good boy! Big Grin

The one part in Legacies when Jack dresses up like Santa Claus and proceeds to beat the crap out of the hoodlum trucker is pretty cool. Jack then ties him up to the front of the car. Never before have I read a scene so well balanced in it's violence and humour.

One of my favorite moments is a relatively quiet one. It's in Legacies. Alicia (the damsel in distress) has been kidnapped by the bad guys and they're driving her along in a van. Jack follows the van, and is himself followed by the Japanese agent. Jack causes the van to crash, then gets out of his car and runs toward it...

The Japanese agent observes this and is flabbergasted. He says to himself (sorry, books are in storage) something like "What was the man planning? What could one man do?"

For me that's one of several places in the RJ novels that perfectly sums up the excitement/philosophy of the RJ character and the whole project.

(I also really like the next chapter, where Jack delivers an especially satisfying beating to the guys in the van.)

Good choice. That's probably my fave section of Legacies.

The scenes in All the Rage when Jack plays out his plans to humiliate the Serbian mobster by dumping various objects (tires, oil) over his mansion during the parties are hilarious. Jack then screws him over by tricking the mobster into shooting at a Coast guard helicopter. I couldn't stop laughing when reading those scenes.

I agree! That was a most funny scene in RJ series I ever read. Big Grin
