Maggers Wrote:Ken, I'm always impressed with your memory. You read the books a while ago, right? Yet you always know where a scene comes from. I'm not so hot at that, though I thought the Santa and eyeball scenes were probably in Legacies.

Oh, I make my share of mistakes. Wasn't there one just a few days ago that I mentioned, but couldn't remember the source, and you remembered it?

Quote:My fav is the flying tires scene in the Hamptons in All the Rage. What an image!

That one is also a favorite. But it's a favorite for a different reason than the Jack-with-the-flamethrower scene. The latter is a sort of goose-bumps/adrenaline favorite, and the former is a ROTFL favorite.

Another ROTFL/Poetic Justice favorite is the Santa Claus scene in Legacies. Especially the antlers part.

My favorite is the timer in the house that blows up the truck (van?) outside......from Legacies, I believe. Slipped off of my Teflon brain.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Yes, come to think of it! I'd forgotten! Big Grin and now I can't remember what I could remember the other day. Gotta love this brain.

Reading is freedom.
The mind soars, no earthly cares,
no limitations.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

WELL?! I can't either, that's the reason I worded it the way I did. Big Grin

My favorite, is the roof top showdown with the mother Rakosh! I've had dreams about things like that.
Actually, when I first read the book it started really good. When I hit this part, it became really great and didn't slow down!

I also think FPW put the tornado scene in Gateways for me! Big Grin
