OK, first off I feel like a senior member of the board (thanks mostly to "Haiku anyone?") in label only. As I read through many of the threads I feel "I'm not worthy". Now don't get me wrong, I've read the whole Adversary chronical and every RJ book, but to paraphrase Maggers "I have a brain like Teflon, nothing sticks".
That said, I thought I'd start a thread (though it may have been done in the past) about your favorite Repairman Jack moment. Now I may need some help here to place the book (Legacies, Conspiracies?) and the details of the moment, but the one incident that is my favorite is when Jack was about to confront some guys he knew he couldn't beat. So he had in his hand I believe a little bottle with some kind of caustic liquid with red dye and maybe an orb... anyway he squired the liquid in the eye of one of the guys as he made it look like he pulled the guy's eye out. Needless to say the other guys there did want anything to do with Jack. Just a great moment.

I wouldn't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than to have a frontal lobotomy.

I believe that was The Haunted Air. In the same book I really liked the Santa Claus part. "YOU CAN'T KILL SANTA CLAUS!" Laughed my butt off!

I guess Santa Claus part was in "Legacies", not in "The Haunted Air". Wink

Oops you are right! I just remember a house with bad memories. Guess that was in both books.

Medusa,

Did you ever find your wee snake?

And more on topic, I love the Santa line in Legacies! It's definitely one of my faves.

I also love the line in The Tomb, "I've been kamasutraed!"

As far as "moments" or "scenes" I am partial to the flame thrower scene on the ship in The Tomb.

So many to choose from. The Santa scene and the eye scene are both great, as are the tire-dropping and King of the Road segments from All The Rage. But my personal fave, despite its incredible darkness, is Jack exacting revenge on the turd who killed his mom. Absolutely brilliant.

That was in Legacies, when three guys were trying to steal Julios car.

And yes, that was a great scene. But then there are so many aren't there?

One of my favorites is the scene from The Tomb where Jack comes striding down the corridor of Kusums ship with the flamethrower on his back, "Looking like the avatar of a vengful god."

Different houses, but yeah, I know what you mean. And both the Santa and the eyeball scenes were in Legacies.

Ken, I'm always impressed with your memory. You read the books a while ago, right? Yet you always know where a scene comes from. I'm not so hot at that, though I thought the Santa and eyeball scenes were probably in Legacies.

My fav is the flying tires scene in the Hamptons in All the Rage. What an image!

I recommend pleasant.
