Sam Wrote:I'm surprised that nobody has said "Arachnophobia" yet. Smile It may have been a comedy but definitely had a serious creep factor. The Exorcist is my fav horror movie of all, but a GOOD werewolf movie would bump it from the top in a New York minute.
Just for fun, when I say "Stir of Echoes" what is the first scene that comes to mind??? If it's the one I think of every time it still gives a chill.
If you like werewolf movies, have you seen Brotherhood of the Wolf and Dog Soldiers?

[QUOTE=Scott Miller]That is a distinct possibility, but I haven't seen Solaris so I can't say. I found Timeline unwatchable. Lisa might like it; the cheese fairly oozes from its every pore. Big Grin

If that's true, it could be an important new food source. If I'd discovered it, I'd start writing my Nobel Prize acceptance speech right now. (BTW--not unrelated--anybody remember the original Star Trek episode in which a transporter malfunction caused Kirk to split into good/evil halves? Where did the extra matter to make the other Kirk =come= from?)

Dog Soldiers is a Werewolf movie?

The first thought that title brings to my mind is of the Cheyenne warriors in the early 1860's.

Yes, Dog Soldiers is a werewolf movie, and a pretty damn good one at that. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Dog Soldiers (not to be confused with the outstanding anime "Dog Warriors") is an extremely engaging horror film about a bunch of SAS commandos who encounter werewolves. If I tell any more I'll be seriously spoiling, so If you like werewolf movies, I recommend that you take a gander at this one.

I've seen Brotherhood of the Wolf, I think....the one I watched seemed to be dubbed. Looked like it was French maybe?? Anyway, it wasn't really about werewolves. It did have a VERY good action scene near the end; rapid fire violence, vengence, and not a word said. That dish was served frozen. I haven't heard of Dog Soldiers though. Sounds like one I need to watch. Thanks!!!

Yes, that is the correct movie. It was French. I saw it when it first came out on video; I thought I remembered it loosely being a werewolf movie, but I could be incorrect. Very cool movie either way. And, yes, you should definitely see Dog Soldiers.

There is actually a movie with Tom Beringer and Barbara Hershey titled "Last of the Dogmen" based somewhat on the Cheyenne Dog Soldiers.

OK movie for the entertainment value but if you are looking for a deep thought provoker...this isn't it...very easy to poke many holes in the movie.

And, I agree with the review of "Dog Soldiers" very good movie, well worth seeing. Kind of reminded me of the original Night of the Living Dead in a strange way......

Last night, I saw Darkness Falls. It was chilly, and sometimes I jumped up from sofa.

I heard about Tooth fairy story. A baby tooth came out, and put it under pillow, then Tooth fairy snatch it and put one coin. In case of Japan, If downside tooth came out, then throw it to roof, and if upside tooth came out, drop it to under the eaves. Big Grin

I think my two favorite horror movies of all time would have to be Uzumaki and Sleepy Hollow. The ring might be close too.
