I saw a cliche on Alias last week that had me rolling my eyes. The bad guy had nowhere to run except off the side of a building. However, there was a garbage truck parked precisely below him so he could jump on the nice, soft bags and break his fall. Even though it didn't happen like this on Alias, the garbage truck usually drives away with the guy on it.
