....Well sorta. Just started playing a new online game called City of Hero's and created a char tonight called Repairman Jack. He is very ordinary looking (brown shirt, blue jeans, and baseball cap), especially compared to some of the chars in this game. I am keeping him very ordinary as far as what he is capable of doing in the game too (guns and tinkered devices).

I hope FPW is ok with this. I feel it is a very good likeness on RJ. With all the Hulk spin-offs I see in the game, I thought it would be fun to actually be a char like RJ and maybe spread his name along with FPW's if asked about it by other people in the game.

What's not to like? As long as it's not a commercial use, I think it's great. (Just try to keep him from getting killed, okay?)

Tell me more about this game. Is it a Super Hero game? PC or console? Who makes it? Give us a brief review if you could of the positives and negatives.

I played the beta and it's pretty good. It definitely beats the other typical hack and slash games. It's available on the PC and its offical site is http://www.coh.com. You have a LOT more control of designing your character than other games and the other thing I like is the missions (or quests) is for you (and your team) and you alone. You're not sitting at one location with twenty other people waiting for a gnome to show up so you can kill it. It's all controlled a lot better.

I believe the site is now at http://www.cityofheros.com. I'm not sure if the CoH one works.

Anyway, for a brief review, CoH is a MMORPG sorta along the lines of Everquest and Ultima Online. When you first log on, you choose your server (mine happens to be infinity incase anyone wants to play and see RJ run around). You then create your char, which is one of the most interesting aspects of the game. I've never seen a game with this much freedom. You can be a superhero that shoots fire or ice to a martial arts type char or in RJ's case, someone who just uses guns and such.

After you create your char, you enter the game and find yourself in a massive city. After a brief tutorial on how to play, the real fun begins. You are given the option to start in one of two areas. When you choose your area, you are introduced to your first contact. Your contacts are the one's that will give you missions. Missions can involve going out and find missing weapons to rescuing kidnapped citizens to just patroling the city streets and defeating gang members. Over time, you gain confidence in your contact and he will introduce you to new contacts with harder missions.

What I really enjoy about the game is that there is a story arc through-out the game that you learn about from doing missions. Each gang in the city has it's own background to why they are like they are.

Don't worry FPW. There is no death in Paragon City Smile If your defeated in combat, your just rushed off to the hospital where your healed up and ready to go again. So far no defeats for Rj in the game, but it's gonna be tough since I'm trying to keep him as natural of a char as possible, but that's what will make it fun.

This sounds interesting. I may have to look into that, though I usually hate MMORPGs because of the additional cost and time required.

Speaking of games, I went to play Diablo 2:Lord of Destruction (Expansion Set) the other day and my disc is missing. I had to go out and buy a new copy of a game that I already own and will probably wind up finding it once I actually open the new one - making it unreturnable.

Too bad for you.

Contradictions Detected
It does not matter if our answers disagree, as over time the game will change its answers to reflect common knowledge. If you feel that the game is in error, the only way to fix it is to play again.
