Full sets of the 7 book Limited Edition series with matching numbers are going for $25,000 and up. All for an initial investment of around $1000. Pretty good scratch if you ask me.

I won't diss Stephen King as a writer. but while I've enjoyed hundreds of hours reading his books, I found Dean Koontz to be better (for my taste). I'll never diss Dean Koontz as a writer, as I have enjoyed his books enormously for many year; and his audiobooks have kept me awake (and away from bridge abuttments) for many thousands of mles.

Nevertheless, Paul's books are the best I've ever read, and they're also the only ones I collect. It's like my gun collection: I only collect what I shoot!

I think you've over-valued Anne Rice's work here, unless you are including a free gift card or maybe a set of steak knives? How about, not one, but two, count 'em, two, bottles of Oxi-Orange Cleaner...

I think there are flaws with all writers, but we overlook them when we find one we can relate to. I can relate to King better than I can relate to Koontz...and I can't relate to Anne Rice at all. You, on the other hand, can relate better to Koontz...

I tried to read The Vampire Lestat years ago, and could not stay awake. It seemed B-O-R-I-N-G to me.

As far as all writers having flaws, surely there is one exception!
