Kenji Wrote:Last night, I finished reading "The Haunted Air".
This is my favorite one now. You know, I read RJ book in English. It was my first experience. And it was time-consuming reading. Almost 2 months and half. To me that was like a long journey. But it was fantastic and exciting journey.
I have to say thanks to two guys.
"Thank you Bluesman Mike. You sent this book to me." Not only this one, he sent a lot of books to me.
"Thank you F. Paul Wilson. You are always writing excellent books for us."
Now let me say about this book.....well, a lot of unique characters appeared in this book. Kenton Brothers. As I said, they are now my favorite characters.
Madame Pomerol and Foster, they made me laugh. They were always saying "F**K", and Jack was always listening to their conversation by bug.
Circle's members, Eli Bellitto, Adrian Minkin, and Strauss. They are disgusting. So I laughed at Adrian's scream, "Aah! Aah! Aah!". Am I cruel? :p And another one funny scene(line) was They stretched it out next to Bellitto and rolled up in it like a burrito. This is nice!
Next book is GATEWAYS!
Bluesman Mike Lindner Wrote:My pleasure, buddy. And I think you'll find the more you read in English, the easier it will become. At least that's the way it was with me when I studied Arabic to read THE NECRONOMICON in the original words of the Mad Arab. :eek:Good one. :p
jimbow8 Wrote: Good one. :p
Bluesman Mike Lindner Wrote:Thank you, Jimbo. Say, might you be interested in a used copy of THE NECRONOMICON? Only slightly charred from when I shrieked and tried to burn it...Why would I need a copy of the book I wr- ..... own?
jimbow8 Wrote:Why would I need a copy of the book I wr- ..... own?
jimbow8 Wrote:Damn, Kenji! That is impressive - reading a whole book in English. I can't even imagine that.
Quote:And don't worry, it has taken me two-and-a-half months to read a book before (many times) in English, and it is my native language. :p
Kenji Wrote:From chapter 1 to epilogue, I read this book in English........Okay, ask me about this book. Put a quiz to me. I can answer.
You? Two-and-a-half months? Nah! I think you can read it in two days.
Because I couldn't stop reading this book. If it was Japanese edition, I can read it in a few days.
Bluesman Mike Lindner Wrote:All righty, Kenji--what's the 47, 283rd word in the book? (What? If I ask a question like that, I should know the answer myself? Oh, man...that's no fun... )
