If you're not watching this show, you're nuts. The last episode, was reruns tonight in 46 minutes was absolutely brilliant. Katee Sackoff and Edward James Olmos are amazing in this thing. Go! Watch! Now!

I was lucky enough to watch the mini-series and truly enjoyed it. But, then my luck turned when Comcast cable decided that the Sci-Fi channel should only be available with the digital package and they took it away from the basic package. I'm not about to pay an extra $15 per month just for one station.

Mostly, Sci-Fi TV series aren't broadcast in Japan, so we need to buy a DVD or go to rental video store. Recently Battlesta Galactica was released in sell DVD-box. Has it worth to buy?

Do you mean the set with the complete series from the late '70s? It depends. It's campy and silly, but between the original series run and the constant syndicated repeats in the early '80s, I grew up on that (and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, another DVD box set I need to pick up).

If you like the original series, it's worth picking up. If you've never seen it, you should see a few episodes to see if you like it.

As for the new series... I haven't seen it. I don't have the Sci-Fi channel. I was highly skeptical (I always wanted Richard Hatch to finally get to do his updated version; still do, really), but I've been hearing really good things about the new series. I plan to catch it when I can.

It just keeps getting better. The last three or four episodes of the season are really good.

For once, due to a co-financing deal with Sky, we got a tv show in the UK before you guys in the US. Woohoo!

Dave (just don't mention Lost!)

Just a reminder, but SCI-Fi rebroadcasts last Friday's episode tonight at 9 PM CST (10 EST). This one is probably the best one yet. And for those not paying attention, seriously, this is NOT the old series updated with all the old, cheesy elements left in place. This is NOT Lorne Greene in a purple bathrobe. This is NOT cutesy orphan with robot dog. This is just damn good TV that you should be watching.

Awrighty, johntfs--a little trivia from the original show. GALACTICA wasn't the only Battlestar to survive. For 100 points, what was the other?

Lloyd Bridges was the commander I believe - don't remember what his character name was. Seems like the ship was the Pegasus but it's been a long time.
