Or perhaps, Pleasantly Pointless - sounds like a great vacation place! Big Grin

A Maggers Haiku, 2005

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

Or a retirement community. It's a great place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of lively places such as Kansas, Idaho, and Siberia. Rolleyes

Well, all jokes aside it's at least a safe place to live. That's more than a lot of people can say, right?

I think it's also a little Teeny so far. Reminds me of a Buffy Vampire series so far. Hope they steer away from that, I never got into Buffy, but I really do enjoy Smallville. That show might be a little goofy at times, but has some really good action/suspense. Looks like there are finally new episodes this upcoming week too. As for Point Pleasant... Hope things gear up a little, seemed a little unbalanced too. I guess I will hold in a few more weeks...

This evening, I watched Point Pleasant; pilot episode.

This is pretty good to me. It was like "Twin Peaks" + "The Omen". I just watched only first episode, so I can't say anything more. It depend on next episode. I'm looking forward to next episode.

Sam, Maggers, Lisa, are you still watching this? Smile

The show was canceled. You'll probably get to see more of the episodes than we did!

Lisa

Actually the show will be released as a "TV to DVD" collection on Oct. 25 and will include the remaining episodes that were made but never aired.
"The O.C. meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was what it reminded me of (especially since ex-Buffy writer/producer Mart Noxon was one of the creators).
It was one of those genre shows my wife would actually watch with me.
It was okay, but I lost interest when the lead character started to be more of a Buffy clone. I'll probably netflix the DVDs to watch with my wife though.

Maybe you were lucky, Sam. If you'd been around during Mothman's reign-of-fear, you might have been on the Silver Bridge when it went down.

At least my Ma had good timing. Big Grin We held the Mothman Festival recently and Mr. Keel was there for a book signing and chat but I had to miss it. (Middle of the afternoon on a Saturday and I work nights) Would've liked to drop your name and see the reaction. Hmmm... I may have been escorted out by the police - guns drawn, cocked, and safety off. Big Grin
