I'm tellin' ya, it's Nathan Fillion.

Cthulhu for President!

Why vote for a lesser evil? I can think of none better than the great old one, who should return from his slumber to take over the U.S. government and make this country a whole hell of a lot better as the leader of our executive branch. Or destroy it and drive everyone insane, kill us all, or something really nasty! Remember, Cthulhu for President, why vote for the lesser of two evils? Wink

I anticipate that you're actually guessing, but I wouldn't mind him in the role at all.

Cole Hauser! Now I can't imagine Jack without him!

Actually, he played Jack in "The Cave".....I know it's worst movie though.:p

Ice Pirates was the worst movie ever, bar none.

He's a pretty cool guy but I stil think its Reynolds. I'm kinda set in the idea now, running scenes through my head and liking them.

You talking about the Van Wilder guy?

He was pretty good in Smoking Aces too.

It's an 88 magnum. It shoots through schools.

I love Ryan Reynolds. I first saw him in a tiny role in the wonderful "Dick" back in 1999. I said to myself there's a young man to watch, he's got some kind of talent. He tickled me in that little role. I'd love, love, love to see Ryan Reynolds as Jack.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

I'm stuck at work & driving myself nuts trying to suss out who "he" is. Bored enough to read this entire thread, and write down everyone who was mentioned before FPW said the actor who has the script had already been mentioned here. After spending time with IMDB, here is a list of age 30 or over actors who fit the category:

Ryan Reynolds (my choice, and alot of yours too)
Mark Wahlberg (could live with that)
Ed Norton (a close 2nd choice)
Matt Damon (say it like they do in Team America!)
Stuart Townsend (interesting...)
Thomas Jane (#3 by me)
Matt McConaughey
Christian Bale (not bad at all)
Daniel Craig
Colin Farrell (blech!)
Hugh Jackman (ok too)
Toby Maguire (nah...)
Orlando Bloom (hmmm...)
Nathan Fillion (love him!)
Cole Hauser
Jensen Ackles (just turned 30 last month)
Dominic West
Leo DiCaprio (not seein' it)
Jude Law
Sean W. Scott
Michael Vartan

OK now FPW said A-listers only AND that this cat was at the top of Beacons list. So that rules out quite a few. Your thoughts?

...and btw, has the identity of the former young HWMNBNUPOD been revealed? Just curious.

I think I'm missing something here. Ice Pirates? 1984 with Robert Urich? Where did that come from?

I agree. He was good in both films and would make a good Jack.
