I saw a DVD from this UK TV show (Via Netflix) and it's very funny.

A few people I know have highly recommended this show. They're also afraid of what American TV will do to it.

A show Dave introduced to me is Spaced. I don't think it's available in the U.S. but if you have a region free player I highly recommend tracking this one down as an import. Very funny stuff!

Spaced is a GREAT show, they showed Series 1 in Canada on Bravo and my wife and I managed to tape every episode. (Not hard, there's only 7) Series 2 was never shown here to my knowledge but was even funnier! I HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone who manages to find it. Lots of good 80's geek in-jokes to it too. Smile

That should be perfect for many of us on this board, then, huh Lisa?

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Are you implying that I like geeky 80s in-jokes? Because nothing could be further from the truth. I enjoy arthouse films and fine wine and other assorted French stuff.

Yeah, that's it...

I believe the same people behind "Spaced" did the currently (in the UK) released "Shaun of the Dead". I have only heard really good things about this movie and I want to see it REALLY BAD.

I did watch "The Office" season 1 last week and found it hilarious. Season 2 is coming out on DVD fairly soon I believe.

My all-time favorite british comedy will always be Red Dwarf.

Wow! I just went to the Shaun of the Dead website and saw the trailer. I HAVE to see this movie now! Its very much in the same genre of humor as Spaced. (Spaced actually does numerous daydreaming/fantasy segments where one of the main characters fights zombies. Smile )
