Hello guys,

I was looking for dark (apocalyptic) horror book and stumbled across "Nightworld", which I really want to read. However I soon found out that this book was only part of a much larger series, which of course makes me interested to read everythng related to it.

So, I did some research but since so many Repairman Jack novels have been released so far, I'm not sure if I should read the whole Repairman Jack part (I'm a slow reader).

So, my question to you is if you could maybe tell me what I can expect from the RJ series?
Or, is there be a "shortcut" where I only read the key books from the RJ series?
Also, which version of Nightworld is better, the original one or the revised one?

Just so you know, I'm more a fan of dark creative fiction such as dark fantasy, science fiction or cosmic horror (Lovecraft) and not particularly into thrillers.
I wouldn't mind reading a few of them, but I find the idea of reading through 28 books just to read Nightworld a bit intimidating lol.

I'm sorry if my question has already been answered anywhere else, but I could neither could I find a satisfying answer to my question on the internet nor did I on this particular website.

Thank you for your help!

you read just the Adversary Cycle. Best order:
The Keep
Reborn
The Tomb
The Touch
Reprisal
Nightworld
(The Repairman Jack series loops out from The Tomb and ends at Nightworld.)

Based on your preferences listed, you should probably read all of the Jack books. They all have a dark science fiction aspect to them and are definitely not just thrillers. 28 seems like a lot, but when you start, you will want to keep reading them anyway Smile

The Jack books aren't required to enjoy Nightworld. Read the Adversary Cycle first, and then if you want to read more Jack start with the Early Years and work your way to the RJ series.

I would suggest reading the Teen series which there are three and then the Repairman Jack the Early years which there is also three. After that in my opinion it's really up to you. All the repairman Jack books are great, if I had to pick a favorite, I guess it would be the Tomb. I hope my thoughts are of some help to you. This is not the way I read them, because like yourself I had no idea how many there were, but looking back these are my thoughts
Enjoy

I have read the 16 Repairman Jack books from "The Tomb to Nightworld". Also. The complete "The Early YearsTrilogy" series. And just finished "The Teen Trilogy" series. BUT what should I read to follow "Jacks: Secret Vengeance" It seems to have left you handing and it's a big span of years from Vengeance and Cold City.
I have also completed "The Adversary Cycle", except for, The Keep. But is "The Tomb and Nightworld" the same as the the two that are In Repairman Jacks 16 book series?

well, there's the rest of the Secret History. You might want to check out Black Wind since it's a prequel of sorts to By the Sword.

Thx u guys, I found "Quick Fixes, Tales of Repairmam Jack". But what I realize is that there a many years between Secret Vengeance and before he met Gia & Vicky. I came across one " The Fix". So if any one know of any titles in between Vengeance, let me know
