It's totally cool! Don't apologize. It was a great birthday present to discover our names are in Infernal! Woo-hoo!

ROFL! Who else on this board can say that The Man thinks so highly of you that he named characters after you, in an RJ book no less! OMG, that is an honor.

So, come one, come all, mock the ELITE if you wish. Ha!

Congrats to Lisa and Susan! Very cool, Paul. Big Grin

I recommend pleasant.

Speaking of AEOTS, in the scene where Peter LaNague and Broohnin are in Bosyorkington, Peter is looking for the place where an ancestor of his -- named Gurney -- had his store in the distant past. Gurney was a "Lipidlegger." THE Lipidlegger in the short story of the same name.

For the compendium collection...

The bald spot in the Pine Barrens figures signficantly in:

the short story "The Pine Barrens" in "The Barrens and Others"
"Deep As The Marrow"
"Freak Show"

Can anybody think of any others?

Oh, and somebody put that timeline in there before it gets lost..... Big Grin

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
