I finished Fear City last night. A whirlwind of excitement and twists to be sure. I highly recommend this one.

To say I don't want this one to be the last....is an understatement.
I have read and love the other books and stories....but Jack....is special. I really hope an opportunity arises to tell another Jack story. He's like an old friend you think about from time to time....and smile when you finally see him again.

I haven't watched it in a long time though.

Glad you recognized the quote though. Smile

Did you ever read the short story the movie was based on, Eight o'clock in the morning, by Ray Nelson?
Great story....

I am assuming I haven't received mine from Gauntlet because of the slipcase. If anyone has information to the contrary, please let me know. I have been thinking they would both ship together and the last information I saw was that slipcases would be in by 9/19 and begin shipping when they arrived.

Dave,
That' what Gauntlet's website says...so I'm guessing they've shipped them out already...Unless The Man has a different correction...

I know you put that blurb in the preface of Fear City......it's just so nice to see you confirm it. Smile

I thought "they live" was based on "the ten o'clock people" by Stephen King?

To answer my own question, a quick check of Wikipedia proved me wrong. The King story shares many similarities with "they live"

"What seems to be the problem..?"

"Death"

"That's a little out of my jurisdiction you..."

"I want more life.....fucker."
