I can do without the gore as well.

I'm just blown away by the sheer boldness of Thornton's character. He truly takes no prisoners....he kills them.

There are no rules!

I think these last few episodes are going to be amazing. So much going on, and such a change in Lester already, it's bound to be interesting.

It's not quite as spectacular, but I wouldn't want to be dropped through a hole in the ice either. What a ghastly way to kill somebody!

Hard to reconcile Lester with Bilbo.

I can't believe there are only two episodes left. I know it can't go on forever, but only two more to wrap up everything going on?! I watch a lot of tv and movies, and I'm pleased that I can't guess what will happen.

Really looking forward to next week's reunion, the teaser they are running for the episode is great. I'm a little surprised at the dramatic shift in Lester, but I suspect we may hear a little about that coming up.

Dang, that Lester is cold! Can't believe there are only 90 minutes left. Why couldn't he just leave things alone?!

"Fargo" sort of jumped the shark for me in that last episode. Yeah, I know, Lester's become more assertive in the past year, but that's different from stupid. Confronting Malvo has no upside -- none. I'll be watching the finale, but the author's hand has become visible, moving pieces about the board to where he needs them when they should appear to be moving themselves.

I thought the finale went well. An all-around satisfying and suitably bloody wrap-up. (I have to tell you that Malvo would not have been able to bear any weight on that leg with the compound tibial fracture. It's stretching things quite a ways that he wasn't in shock.)

Lester's ending was a bit unsatisfying. I'll have to rewatch, but I'm not sure why he was headed to where he met up with the cops (I know he was running, but how were the cops there?). The one thing I really wanted was to see him confronted with the tape. Would have been pretty easy to slip in and not have to change anything but the presented timeline. For all the appearances that tape made, it feels like it should have been a clear part of Lester's actions at the end.

Still a good show, nice to see something a little different airing. The darkness felt very natural and mostly believable, not forced or over the top.

rjack_fan Wrote:Rewatching last week to prepare for this week. Tonight's debate: which is worse, the wood chipper scene in the movie or the taped-to-the-gun scene from last week? We're split at one vote each here, anyone care to weigh in?
wood chipper homie was already dead (at least i think he was). The anticipation of knowing you're toast and just waiting for them to come through the door would definitely be worse.
