I have been a long time fan of Mr. Wilson and have read all of the books he has written alone, but none of the co-written ones.
I recently purchased the two recent ones (Proteus Cure and A Necessary End), but I also have the older books that he wrote with others (Mirage, Nightkill, Masque and Artifact).
Which of his co-written book do people (or even Paul) feel are the best? Any preferences - I am sure that they are all good!
Thanks,
Steve

Have you tried, Draculas? I'm a big fan of this one....it's my fav.

As for the other books....they're written by The Man....how could they NOT be good?

As I mentioned on Facebook, I'm not fond of ARTIFACT.

ARTIFACT may be the only one of Paul's books that I don't own. I blame the man himself for discouraging me from checking it out.

In response to swandy's question, I read A NECESSARY END recently, and it has stuck with me, so I'd recommend going with that.

I really liked MIRAGE, it is one of my favorites among his co-authored books. As mentioned, DRACULAS is a pretty amazing story. Uber-violent and laugh out loud funny.

Should have mentioned that I LOVED DRACULAS (still waiting for Draculas 2 BTW). Thanks for the other opinions.

Personally, I'm not crazy about Matthew Costello as an author, so maybe check out the ones F. Paul wrote with other authors first. Just my opinion. Also, not to be a traitor to Dr. Wilson, but if you enjoy his work you might want to check out a trilogy of books written by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan, starting with "The Strain", which will soon be a movie or maybe mini-series. Del Toro is, of course, the awesome director of such movies as "Blade II", "Hellboy (1 & 2"), "Pan's Labyrinth", and "Pacific Rim". Hogan wrote "Prince of Theives" which was made into the movie "The Town" with Ben Affleck. These books are excellent, can't put'em down vampire-apocalypse novels in the spirit of Dr Wilson's "Midnight Mass" and "Nightworld".
For the same theme, check out Justin Cronin's "The Passage" and sequel "The Twelve".
