It went from -15 to 55 here within 48 hours. It's been in the mid-40s for several days and the snow is melting away.

Chicago wasn't quite as drastic: -17 to 48.

Meh, we always get a January thaw before it gets cold again.

We had 9 inches of snow from last night's storm. It was minus 1 out on the deck this morn as I left for work. Brrrrr

So to those in various areas of the country - stay warm! Or cool...whichever one is needed. This has been a weird winter. On Sunday it was 70 here but dropped about 40 degrees the following day.

We finally got back to the upper 20s/low 30s again it feels almost warm! More like 40-50 does when it arrives in the spring. Crazy! And now 6-12 in of snow expected Wednesday.

I want snow here. Snow shuts us down. I would be able to stay home from work.
