I have come to the conclusion that she must secretly want to bone Big Jim and so she sucks up to him whenever she can, otherwise how else do you explain the fact that she just blindly accepts whatever he tells her, when it is screamingly obvious that he is lying? That little bit of dialogue I wrote up there is only partially an exaggeration. Phil the DJ actually does call Linda over the police radio to tell her that Julia, the person whom Barbie supposedly attempted to fucking murder, just helped him escape custody, and Linda doesn't even bat an eye at this. She does not for one second think to ask, "Hey, why would Julia be helping Barbie, when Big Jim told me Barbie shot her? That doesn't really make sense." Instead, she stands around and goes "Duuurrrr it sure is hard to see in here with my head jammed all the way up my ass." And then, this officer who is supposed to represent law and order just stands by while Jim has a gallows built so that he can hang Barbie without a trial. I really cannot stress enough how worthless Linda is. She is a worse character than Junior, at this point. Yes, you read that right. Worse than Poutyface McWhinesalot Junior.

Not that the other characters are much better, of course. Joe stands around describing things that are happening onscreen, because the writers apparently think the people watching the show are as stupid as the characters, and can't figure it out for themselves. The monarch butterfly inside the Mini-Dome hatches and starts fluttering around, and every time it bumps into the Mini-Dome, the Mini-Dome turns black. We know this because Joe very helpfully tells us that's what's happening, as it happens. As the Mini-Dome turns black, the big Dome also turns black, and the whole town is plunged into perpetual night. Julia and Angie are still running around with a police radio, and it still never occurs to either of them that maybe Julia should GET ON THE FUCKING RADIO AND TELL EVERYONE WHO CAN HEAR THAT BIG JIM IS LYING ABOUT BARBIE SHOOTING HER.

Once the Dome turns black, people start freaking out because they think it's the End Times and they're worried about how they can't grow crops without sunlight, and it might get too cold, as well. The big cliffhanger at the end of the episode is that Barbie is on the gallows about to be hanged, and then the Dome turns white. That's it. The big, climactic moment of the finale is that the Dome changes color. My hope is that it then collapses in on itself and destroys the whole town, killing everyone, because I've had about all I can take of this stupid fucking show. There weren't even any good moments of laughably bad dialogue from Norrie to make things a little more bearable.
