I think it's worth seeing once if you leave your brain at the door and try not to think about it too much. I also wish I'd seen it in 3D, I think I'd have enjoyed the ending much better, but I'm not willing to see it again just for the 3D.

We saw it in 2D and I wish I had seen it in 3D but I agree with you. It was a fun movie but I'm not paying again just to see it in 3D. The only movie I did that for was Avatar because when we first saw it we didn't even know it was available in 3D too. That was a great 3D.

I watched this on DVD last night finally. I actually really enjoyed it. If you are willing to suspend your disbelief it makes for a fun movie. I liked how they had incorporated the vampires into the Confederate Army at the battle of Gettysburg as well.

I've never read the book, but I've heard they changed quite a bit, like vampires being able to kill each other, but even in the movie while they didn't "kill" each other, they were able to fight each other.

The only things I thought were bad were some of the special effects, namely the chase during the horse stampede was very obviously CGI.

Also, its hard for me to see the actor who played Mr. Speed as anyone other than one of the McBoyle brothers from Its Always Sunny.

Overall, good movie with only a few minor complaints.
