People are already making up stories to go along with some of the photos from the aftermath. The one I saw was of a man in a red shirt leaning over an inured woman. The "story" read that he was her boyfriend and was going to propose when she crossed the finish line, but she died. the story is completely false because she didn't die and I don't think he was her boyfriend and if he was he wasn't going to propose.
I understand why people do it, but to me its disgusting to take a tragic event and make up stories to garner sympathy from others. We saw the same thing with Sandy Hook, Aurora, and just about every other tragedy. I guess Americans are not used to being attacked in such a manner even though it happens all over the world almost every day.
