Very horrible indeed and bomb blast injuries are not pretty...not pretty at all. Sad

I think it says something about the state of our country as a whole when things like this no longer surprise me. I am personally sick of the sensationalism that surrounds events like this though. That is not to say that the media shouldn't cover it, but within SECONDS of the news of the bombings there were ribbons up for sale, facebook banners, chatter from all forms of media about suspects captured (which turned out to be false), etc...

Yes, it is sad, it is horrible that it happened and that people died and were maimed and will have emotional damage long after the physical debris is cleared.

People are already making up stories to go along with some of the photos from the aftermath. The one I saw was of a man in a red shirt leaning over an inured woman. The "story" read that he was her boyfriend and was going to propose when she crossed the finish line, but she died. the story is completely false because she didn't die and I don't think he was her boyfriend and if he was he wasn't going to propose.

I understand why people do it, but to me its disgusting to take a tragic event and make up stories to garner sympathy from others. We saw the same thing with Sandy Hook, Aurora, and just about every other tragedy. I guess Americans are not used to being attacked in such a manner even though it happens all over the world almost every day.

THIS! I am so tired of fake news reports and people reposting them without verifying any information. Idiots.

We KNOW it is the nature of the internet. It still doesn't make it less annoying or pathetic.
