So....who's watching the adventures of Sookie? Having read all the books, I'm really happy that the writers of the show are not sticking true to the books.

I love Lafayette! His character makes me laugh practically every time he opens his mouth. And Tara as a vampire? That's just delicious. Jason is just a dog...lol But I'm happy to see him as a lawman keeping Andy away from his vices.

This is pretty much the first time the series has gone off the books. I mean, they never followed the books entirely, but the first few seasons at least were taken from the novels, but I like they took liberties and kept us guessing.

Having Claudine die so quickly last year was a shock. LOL, I guess that means we will never see Niall and have to deal with any Fae storylines.

But, so far, this season isn't doing it for me. I know we are only 2 episodes in, but it is all over the place and I hate what they did with Tara. It was very "Jump the Shark" in my opinion.

I am sure it will be a lot better once Russell Edgington is back in full form.

Russell's return should provide lots of mayhem. I just hope Bill and Eric don't kill him off too quickly.

I loved the back story about Pam. Eric in a top hat and tux was wonderful. lol

I bet the writers expand upon the fairy storyline. Not using Niall would be a mistake.

I'm torn on the fairy stuff, because I hated the direction the books went in with that. Since the TV show made fairy land more sinister, though, maybe the writers would do better things with the fairies.

Is there some reason why Pam couldn't have saved Tara instead of changing her? Was she too far gone for vampire blood to do the trick? Depending on what they do with Tara, the transformation might be ok. I was kind of laughing when Tara ran outside and got sprayed with the silver. She just can't win.

I am not thrilled with the whole religious aspect that last night's episode took. Political manuevering I get. I'm not buying the religious angle.

There are an awful lot of story lines. Must every character have something going on?

I can just hear the Catholic church now. Blasphemy about the ritual and taking blood of Lilith and the vampire bible.

Ok, the church's reaction would be funny. I'm always amused whenever any organization or person decides to argue with a story line or fictional character (such as Dan Quayle versus Murphy Brown).

That was interesting...but what was better was last night's episode. It was full of all sorts of subplots going on.
Tara and Jessica becoming friends
Jason realizing his parents died at the hands of vamps
Andy showing some intelligence.
Lafayette and his mom having the same vision
Sookie and the crew looking for Russell....and finding him.

I love that the writers are going places the books haven't. It keeps me glued to series.

I like the deviation from the books, especially since I haven't liked the last couple of books as much. Also, Jason is a lot more likeable in the series (dumb but likeable).

Tara and Jessica had a short lived friendship. ROFL!

Was the story line with Terry Belleflur actually necessary? Seriously, can't he be the guy who's just a little messed up and strange without a fire demon chasing him? And couldn't they have come up with better special effects for the fire demon if it had to be part of the story?

Who cast Claude? Not that the guy was ugly, but Claude is supposed to be tall and muscular and complete eye candy. That guy wasn't.

I think Pam is my favorite character.
