I've spent the last few months reading through The Secret History and now I'm on the Reprisal reissue, and.. holy cow this book is amazing.

I won't spoil anything, but it has only been a few months since I (re)read Reborn, but with the bulk of the RJ series I've read since then it's like I've felt the years between the two stories and it's been amazing finding out what's gone on with a certain character.

I can't put it down.

Reprisal is hands-down the scariest book of the Adversary Cycle. It might be one of the scariest books I have ever read. It makes me miss Paul's horror writings.

My favorite FPW novel would probably be Black Wind.

I agree with Tony here, Reprisal is a super scary, super dark book that is very high on my list of FPW favorites. Black Wind is also probably at the top. Although the list is somewhat dynamic and changes slightly based on what type of books I am currently in the mood for (Horror, scifi, thrillers, etc etc) but the beauty of that is the Paul has something to fit into whatever hankering I am having.

Black Wind is on top for me (no surprise). Right now I'm going through the RJ books to work up to Dark at the End. I'm on Hosts right now. I've gotta say that All the Rage is probably my favorite Jack book.

Another for Reprisal being the scariest of Paul's work. As for me, I love sci-fi and the LaNague series is my favorite, especially Enemy of the State.

I have to opt for "Black Wind".

Me too; it is the best book I've ever read.

What I find interesting about Reprisal is that there is very little action in it yet most people seem to find it his most frightening piece of fiction. Truth in the less-is-more camp I'd say. For my money Reborn is my favorite 'horror' novel of his followed closely by Repriasl and The Keep.
