Hi. New member. FPW fan since I saw the movie "The Keep" back in the 80's (I know, I know).

Just finished up Jack-Secret Vengence and have a question about Mr. Drexler. I kinda have a gut feeling that he is Rasalom. Though, since his name is not an anagram of Rasalom I'm not 100% sure.

Will this character die with the Young Jack novels or will we see him again?......

Welcome Ken! Many characters from those books turn up in later books, or more accurately many characters from later books show up in the YA books since they were written later.

One of the fun things about FPW books is drawing all the connections as you read. I don't want to spoil that for you by saying who shows up where. If you decide you really want to know, post back.

It should also be noted that Secret Vengeance is the final Young Jack book.

Welcome to the board Ken. Like rjack_fan said, I really don't want to spoil anything for you by telling you what happens in other books, but it you really want to know...well we can arrange something.

You are in for a treat in reading the rest of the series and pretty much anything else by F. Paul Wilson.

Welcome to the board Ken!

I would like to answer your question, but everyone is handling this like it's a spoiler. (Heh) So not to spoil anything, your question "will" be answered in some of the later RJ books. I would recomend reading them in order but the question you ask won't be answered untill "Ground Zero". But READ them in order.Smile

That's odd. I'm up-to-date with all of the RepairmanJack novels (in fact all FPW novels) but I do not recall anything about Mr. Drexler in Ground Zero. I'm going to hit the library tomorrow and check out Ground Zero again!

Thanks!!!

Fatal Error comes out in pb in Sept, the The Dark at the End in October. I'm wondering how you can read Fatal Error without remembering Ernst Drexler. His father, btw, appears in "Aryans and Absinthe."

Paul, with =all= respect, maybe fictioneers are a leetle bit closer to their work than their loyal readers are. Perhaps they see connections more clearly.

Just a thought. (EYES SPINNING, TONGUE OUT emoticon, please, Maestro!)
