Which is the first edition of Aftershock?

I'm confused at to which is the first edition. There's two covers on ABE:

Which is the true first edition? Is one from a paperback?

I have the bottom one, it's a hardcover. I've never seen the first one before.

I've seen the picture lots of times on ebay but always as a stock photo...never as the cover of an actual book. Maybe it was a mock-up!?!?!

It was an early cover concept that Amazon never seemed to want to let go. It was never published. The second one is the 1st, and only, release thus far.
