Gamers...
Have you played Alan Wake, a game about a thriller writer who gets caught inside one of his own novels...it reminds me of F. Paul Wilson's works...it's one of the wildest games....strong plot..that keeps you playing and hanging....internal tributes to Twilight Zone and Stephen King...Dr. Wilson should check this out and let us know what he thinks.

You've piqued my interest and I haven't been a gamer for years. Can I get it on Xbox?

BTW, Welcome to the board!!

Thanks for the Welcome

Actually, the game is an Xbox360 exclusive. Here are some links to trailers/gameplay/review:

Looked a bit slow to play at first, but it's gameplay is as good as the story. Look for a guide to all of the colectibles and manuscript pages because it really makes the game a lot more fun!

I agree, this is an awesome game. It's like playing a Stephen King book.

Hum, a second opinion. I'll have to check this one out. It may be time for KRW to play with his joystick again! (nooooo, not that one. Get your mind out of the gutter.Big Grin)

I also recommended this game to my brother and several friends. Everyone who I know that has played this game loved it. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

I would agree very good game. Only thing I would recommend is renting it over buying it as it's somewhat short. The cool thing is the writers treat it very much like a T.V. show, each game will be like a season of a show(they plan on doing a couple more) and each chapter in the game is like an episode of the show and it always does a recap of the last chapter and things. Pretty interesting.

How about the actor who modeled for Alan Wake as Jack in the Repairman Jack movie? That's kinda how I picture him!

Sounds like an interesting game. Too bad I am console lacking when it comes to gaming. If it was a PC game I would definitely look into it. Ah well, maybe some day it will come out on PC.

Those of you who aren't into video games , check the links above and watch the video preview...Doesn't he look like a "Repairman Jack"?
