All right...this is my first post. I have tried a number of searches to see if this has been addressed, but I'm either completely inept at choosing correct search terms (highly plausible) or this has not been addressed (highly unlikely).

As a birthday present, my wife got me the Borderlands Press complete Adversary Cycle set (what a gal!). The spine art is striking! HOWEVER, if I put the books in the originally published order, the spine art does NOT align properly. BUT, if I put the books in the following order, then the spine art is perfectly aligned:

The Keep
The Touch
Rakoshi
Reborn
Reprisal
Nightworld

So, essentially, in order to put the spine art together correctly, I have to transpose "The Touch" and "Rakoshi". Was this ON PURPOSE, or an error?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that The Touch was originally published ahead of The Tomb. Welcome to the board and enjoy the new set.

In UK tomb definitely before touch

But you are right, I had never noticed they were in a different order in the BP box set

I looked it up to confirm, and The Tomb was definitely published before The Touch. Not sure if there was a point behind doing it this way, or if it was a design error in the set. Doesn't make any difference to me...I love the books anyway...just wondered if there was some subtle significance to it.

I'm not sure why we decided to do that. The Tomb/Rakoshi does place before The Touch but they're completely independent, so the reading order for those two is irrelevant. If I had it to do over again, I would have ordered the set chronologically:

The Keep
Reborn
The Tomb/Rakoshi
The Touch
Reprisal
Nightworld

Thanks for the info! As I said, it doesn't take any enjoyment whatsoever away from the set. It is still gorgeous! Thank you, FPW, for putting together such a stunning set for us hardcore AC/RJ fans.
