Watching the DVDs with the hubby, we finished up season 3 and have watched four episodes from season 4. Next up is possibly the best episode ever - The Constant.

At this rate, we may be still be caught up in time to watch the series finale on the night it airs. Not that we're trying to hurry for that purpose, though. It's just so hard to turn off the DVD player once you get going!

There is no doubt that Desmond's episodes are the best, though some of Hurley's are a joy, especially the one where he rehabs the Volkswagen van. Great heartwarming stuff, and I know what Hurley does with that van later on... Tee Hee.

I totally agree. I think you get much more of an emotional impact and a much better view of the big picture that way.

That's one of my favorite episodes too! When we watched it the other night it brought tears to my eyes just seeing those guys driving that darn van around in circles and having the best time they'd had in months, especially knowing what was just ahead for them. But I was smiling too. Way to go, Hurley.

My hubby is more analytical, more of an engineer type. I'm very curious to see what he makes of all the time traveling when we get to that stage of things.

He did come up with one observation that never crossed my mind but that makes perfect sense.

When Sun asked Sawyer for a pregnancy test kit and he actually had one, I thought that was awfully convenient but decided not to nitpick. Well, Mr. Webby concluded that Sun KNEW there was a pregnancy test in the luggage because SHE had packed it!

When they got on flight 815, Sun knew that it was Jin who was infertile, not her. Which means she may have been worried that she got pregnant during her indiscretion with Jae. And if she further knew, deep down, that she might not be able to go through with leaving Jin, she could have put the test kit in her luggage, just in case.

She was hoping it had been found when she went to Sawyer.

Yes, that's what I thought, also. There are a million little observations like that I've had throughout the show, but I haven't mentioned them because, well, they are little ones. For instance, as soon as I saw Christian, Jack's father, in the pouring rain, in the middle of the night, pounding on the door of a house in Australia asking to see "her," I knew the "her" had to be Claire. There was no other Aussie amongst the survivors, and there'd be no reason for that scene unless it was connected to the Island. So the connection had to be Claire. And the reason a man of his age would be demanding to see "her" would be paternity.

Well....I never admit to being smart about this show, just observant. I see what the writers have presented and trust my gut. It's been right more times than not, which is a marvel. But how this will all get tied up is not something I'm attempting to discern. I can't. I am along for the ride, and what a ride it's been.

As I wrote earlier, I will buy the boxed set of LOST edited in chronological order. I already own Seasons 1-5 and will purchase Season 6 as soon as its available.

That was a great episode! When Ilana came back swinging that bag of dynamite I had memories of Artz. And it didn't disappoint! I hate to admit I laughed then. I actually love Hugo episodes. I think his character is so underrated. I can't wait until next week! A whole week - Grr!
