I agree with Gerald and Webby here. I have only read the book as well. The style will take a bit to get used to, (wonder if McCarthy was trying to be exsitential or what...not sure) but it is really an emotional book especially as Gerald pointed out being a parent makes some of those scenes smack you hard. Don't think being a parent is necessary to enjoy and be moved by this story though.

Today I saw THE ROAD, it was excellent film. Not entertainment like "The Book of Eli", but I prefer THE ROAD.

I have it on my Netflix. Due to show up tomorrow. I can't wait to see it.
