As someone who hated the original series and not watched but a couple of the movies, I was pretty psyched to see the latest because of all the good word of mouth surrounding it, but it was just kind of there for me. I liked it better than any of the other Star Trek stuff, but it didn't really grab me either.

sigokat Wrote:As to Spock having too many human emotions...well he is half human. He's also young and was thrust into a leadership role that he wasn't really prepared for. He was battling his emotions because of his younger age and hadn't really been put into any type of stressful situations up until that point. Basically he hadn't surpressed his human emotions yet because he never had a real reason to do so. At least that was my take on it.
